- Gold has risen at double-digit rates on average against all of the world's major currencies for the past eight years, making gold one of the world's best performing asset classes this decade.
- Nevertheless, relatively few people have been paying attention to gold, but that is now changing. By hurdling above $1,000 everyone everywhere is receiving a wake-up call that inflation and other monetary problems are worsening, which is of course the reason gold is rising.
